Black & Green Silicon Carbide

Manufactured by the fusion of Petroleum Coke, Silicon Carbide has a unique appearance. In its black form the grains exude an iridescence that is unmatched by other electrominerals. Noted for its high thermal stability and wear properties this material is used extensively in refractories, bonded and coated abrasives and precision surface finishing as well as extensively in the safety flooring sector.

Manufactured and processed from crude Silicon Carbide the black form is available in refractory metric fractions and FEPA Macro and Micro grades.

Made in a similar way to the Black material save for the addition of sodium chloride , green silicon carbide is even tougher and has higher end uses in bonded and coated abrasive manufacture.
