Polyflash, polycarbonate blast media

THERMOPLASTIC POLYCARBONATE DEFLASHING MEDIA - (approx. 30 Barcol Hardness)

Mac'Ants (POLYFLASH Polycarbonate) Plastic Media is a specially formulated polycarbonate thermoplastic media.

Produced from virgin PC or recycled product, the media, cut into a cylinder or cubed shape.

Ideal at very low temperatures as low as -100 degrees C, as it will not shatter like other medias, and will give you a high quality low breakdown performance.

It is not used for cleaning as the other thermoset medias but mainly for cryogenic deflashing or deburring. It can be also used at aimbient temperatures, for deflashing, but its main usage is for cryogenic deflashing of rubber or aluminium diecast products.

The cryogenic grade is creatively manufactured to give a high density and long lasting media when used in cryogenic shot blasting machines, and is again available in a variety of colours to suit your cryogenic requirements.

This media is used in a very specific and specialised market such as:

  • Rubber moulding deflashing

  • Aluminium diecast deflashing

  • Deflashing or deburring in cryogenic conditions
