Welcome to the
Microsite for The Design & Manufacturing of Surface Preparation &
Finishing Equipment
Avialite Auriga
It's long been the
case that if you have a large object or component like a ship or a
bridge then the choice for surface preparation was always an easy
one of cost and this meant using open nozzle blasting with a blast
and discard media. With ever increasing pollution regulations
together with spiraling disposal costs the need for another way has
arrived. In this case its not been easy to take a blast room to site
and similarly a bridge won't fit in it. So lets shroud the bridge or
ship in scaffold cover the scaffold and use the Auriga System. In
its simplest form its the heart of a plastic media stripping room
made mobile. But in reality its been many years in development and
makes the use of plastic media on site ever more viable with the
myriad of associated benefits now open to the operator and customer
as well as the environment and neighbours in the vicinity of a
blasting process. Watch a video below on the use and evaluation of
the system in the Rail Industry;

Features
Truck Mounted System
Multi Pressure Pot Assembly
Hi Capacity Media Recovery System
Onboard Media Reclassification
Site Dust Extraction
Separate Blast Systems for profiling
operations
Single point waste / by product collection
point
PLC Control with Remote Monitoring and
Diagnosis
Reduced Media Consumption
Low Operating Pressures
Benefits
Huge reduction in blasting noise levels,
improves impact on the environment and neighbours
Lower operating pressures , means less power
consumption *
Single point waste collection, means less /
no contact with hazardous dusts
Media is reclassified in the system meaning
large reduction in media consumption, ultimately significant
reduction in landfill volumes and cost
Second sweep process permits this waste
material to be reused / recycled with NO landfill costs -
huge environmental benefit
Reduced scaffold loading, by the use of low
density polymer medias
Fast stripping rates achieved, offering
commercial viability
Improved operator conditions, means a more
efficient process.
