Refractories and Furnace Linings

Thermal resistant concretes, mortars, cements and bricks represent a large-scale sector in the electro fused minerals arena.  From the use of low-grade minerals, such as bauxites and kaolins to electro fused minerals like brown and white fused aluminas and silicon carbides, we have been involved with refractories for many decades.  Additionally, our reclamation processing also manufactures a range of recycled electro minerals for the refractories industry. The addition of a thermally resistant mineral grain held by a suitable binder is the basics of refractory technology.  The detail is significantly more complicated and takes account of media interfaces and the respective erosion and slag build up issues.  Consequently, some materials are better suited to certain applications and offer additional wear and/or expansion properties.
