High Pressure Water Jetting

This is a process that utilises water propelled through a restricted orifice at pressure of up to 36,000 psi. At these levels, water can act as a rapid and efficient cleaning mechanism, and is capable of removing rust and debris to leave a clean and profiled substrate.  There are, however, issues to consider in terms of effluent water contamination and the oxidation of substrates, together with the power requirements and the physical constraints of the equipment, alongside its capital cost and safety requirements arising from operation at these pressure levels.
