Glass Etching
This is typically a process where a media blasting operation is conducted on a glass substrate, be it a sheet of glass to ‘sand blast’ and obscure the surface or a delicate piece of lead crystal in order to leave a logo or emblem on it. The process is the same and makes use of a fine blast media , typically a fused alumina or aluminiumm oxide and propelled at the substrate through a template or masking system. This mask is normally of blast resistant rubber or tape and can be cut by a computer aided cutter and enable ellaborate logos and motifs to be left on the glass.
